About This Piece

Prosperity Bull | Handcrafted Brass

The Prosperity Bull is a handcrafted brass sculpture measuring 5 inches in height, 7.5 inches in width, and 3.5 inches in depth, weighing a substantial 1,800 grams. It is cast using traditional solid brass techniques and finished with an antique polish that deepens the visual character of the piece.

The form captures a bull mid-stride in a low, forward-driving posture — head angled downward, legs bent with weight shifted onto the front haunches, and the body compressed with visible musculature. The horns curve upward with purpose, the mouth is slightly open, and the tail curves over the back in a tight arc. This is not a static pose. The sculptor has worked to hold movement within a fixed form, which requires considerable skill in the wax modeling and casting stages. The surface shows deliberate hand-finishing — smoothed along the barrel of the body while retaining texture in the joints and facial features that speaks to tool work done after casting.

In Indian tradition, the bull carries layered meaning. As Nandi, the bull is the vehicle and devoted guardian of Shiva, representing strength, steadfastness, and righteous effort. More broadly across Indian cultural and mercantile life, the bull has long been associated with prosperity, agricultural abundance, and unstoppable forward motion. Placing a bull sculpture in a home or workspace draws on this iconographic heritage.

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc with a naturally warm, golden tone. It is dense, workable, and highly durable, which is why it has been the material of choice for Indian devotional and decorative sculpture for centuries. A piece of this weight — 1,800 grams — has genuine presence and solidity when handled.

The antique polish finish gives the surface a darkened, aged quality, with the raised areas catching a warmer gold tone while recessed details hold shadow. Because this piece is individually handcrafted, each sculpture will carry slight variations in surface texture, tone distribution, and detailing that are inherent to the process.

This sculpture suits a home office desk, an entrance console, a collector's display, or as a considered gifting piece for milestone occasions.

How We Pack It

Every idol is individually wrapped in soft cloth and nestled in foam casing inside a double-walled corrugated box. We have shipped to 25+ countries without a single breakage complaint.

Orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days. Domestic delivery takes 5-7 days. International shipping takes 10-15 working days via tracked courier.

How to Care For It

Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, acidic solutions, or abrasive pads. For occasional deep cleaning, use warm water and mild soap — dry immediately after.

Brass and Panchaloha naturally develop patina over time. If you prefer the original finish, apply a thin coat of coconut oil monthly.
