This standing Tirupathi Balaji idol, cast in super fine brass, stands 7.5 inches (19 cm) tall, 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) wide, and 2.5 inches (6.5 cm) deep, weighing approximately 490 g, and depicts Lord Venkateswara in an upright frontal posture on an ornately carved square base bearing the figure of Garuda at its center front.

The sculpture is produced using traditional lost-wax casting, a technique that allows the density of ornamentation across this piece to be reproduced with precision and clarity. The figure stands in a composed, symmetrical stance with four arms clearly articulated — the upper right hand holds a Sudarshana Chakra, the upper left carries a Panchajanya conch, the lower right is extended outward in varada mudra, and the lower left rests near the hip in a gesture of assurance. The chest and torso are layered with multiple strands of beaded necklaces, long ornamental chains, and relief-worked garlands that descend from the neck to the lower body. The tall, tapered kiritamukuta crown is rendered with tight granular and scrollwork detailing that retains its sharpness at this scale. The square pedestal carries scrollwork and sculptural ornament across its visible faces, with the Garuda figure — wings folded, hands joined in anjali — positioned centrally at the base of the composition. Super fine brass casting produces exactly this level of crispness: ornamentation that holds edge definition clearly, with a surface that reads both highlight and shadow simultaneously.

Venkateswara, enshrined at Tirumala, is one of the most widely venerated forms of Vishnu in South Indian devotional tradition. He is regarded as the presiding deity of Kaliyuga and is approached by devotees across communities as a source of protection, grace, and liberation. The four-armed standing form, the Chakra and Shankha, and the Garuda base each carry specific iconographic meaning rooted in Vaishnava theological tradition.

Brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, has been central to Indian devotional metalwork for centuries. It holds fine cast detail with fidelity, carries a warm tonal depth that develops over time, and is structurally durable — qualities that make it suited for both active ritual use and long-term display.

This piece carries a polished finish, visible in the bright warm silver-gold tone across the figure and the strong contrast between raised relief ornament and recessed surrounds. The finish gives the surface a reflective clarity that draws attention to the density of the decorative work across the crown, torso, and base. Handcrafted pieces carry natural variation in surface texture and tone between individual sculptures.

This Balaji idol is well suited for a home puja room, a personal altar dedicated to Vaishnava worship, or as a considered gift for housewarmings, Vaikunta Ekadashi, and collectors of classical South Indian devotional sculpture.

Note: At Cosmic Studio, every sculpture is individually handcrafted, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike. Minor variations in color, texture, and detailing are a natural result of the artisanal process and are considered marks of authenticity. These unique characteristics, along with potential differences in lighting and screen displays, may cause the product to appear slightly different from the images shown.

Shipping & Care

How We Pack It

Every idol is individually wrapped in soft cloth and nestled in foam casing inside a double-walled corrugated box. We have shipped to 25+ countries without a single breakage complaint.

Orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days. Domestic delivery takes 5-7 days. International shipping takes 10-15 working days via tracked courier.

How to Care For It

Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, acidic solutions, or abrasive pads. For occasional deep cleaning, use warm water and mild soap — dry immediately after.

Brass and Panchaloha naturally develop patina over time. If you prefer the original finish, apply a thin coat of coconut oil monthly.
