This is a 4-inch handcrafted brass sculpture of Goddess Lakshmi seated in lalitasana — a posture of relaxed ease — on an ornate sofa-throne, measuring 4 inches in height, 3.5 inches in width, and 2 inches in depth, with a finished weight of 250 grams.

The piece is cast in superfine brass using traditional lost-wax techniques that allow for the level of surface resolution visible across every element of this sculpture. The radiant spiked halo behind the goddess's head carries clean, evenly spaced rays. Her four arms are articulated with precision — the upper hands hold lotuses, while the lower hands are positioned in abhaya mudra, offering protection, and varada mudra, signifying the granting of boons. Her expression is composed and calm, with a downward gaze that conveys quiet benediction rather than ceremony. The jewelry — necklaces, armlets, and crown ornaments — is rendered with fine lines and layered relief work. The sofa-throne on which she is seated features decorative side panels and a structured base that echo the vocabulary of classical temple furniture, with circular medallion forms flanking the seat and a detailed pedestal beneath.

Lakshmi is the principal deity of wealth, prosperity, and auspicious fortune in Hindu tradition.
