Celebrate learning, music, and clarity with this 3-inch Saraswati seated on a blooming lotus. Cast in solid brass with super-fine detailing, the idol features a radiant halo, ornate jewelry, and crisp drapery. Saraswati plays the veena across her lap, while her upper hand holds a lotus; a delicate swan motif on the base completes the classic iconography. Compact yet striking, it’s perfect for study tables, music rooms, classrooms, and office desks. A thoughtful gift for Vidyarambham, Saraswati Puja, Navaratri, exam season, or arangetram. Note: At Cosmic Studio, every sculpture is individually handcrafted, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike. Minor variations in color, texture, and detailing are a natural result of the artisanal process and are considered marks of authenticity. These unique characteristics, along with potential differences in lighting and screen displays, may cause the product to appear slightly different from the images shown.

About This Piece

3″ Lotus Saraswathi with Veena | Super-Fine Handcrafted Brass

This 3-inch brass idol depicts Goddess Saraswati seated in a composed posture on a fully bloomed lotus, measuring 3 inches in height and 2 inches in width and depth, and weighing 100 grams. The piece is cast in solid superfine brass and finished with a polish that brings out a deep antique gold tone across the surface.

The idol has been shaped using traditional lost-wax casting, a process that allows for the level of surface detail visible here — the layered crown radiating outward like a sunburst, the finely rendered jewelry across the neck and chest, the textured drapery folded across the lap, and the crisp strings along the veena resting across the goddess's hands. Her lower hands cradle the veena in a playing position, while an upper hand holds a lotus bloom. The expression is calm and inward, consistent with classical South Indian iconographic treatment of Saraswati. At the base of the lotus seat, a small swan motif has been cast in — completing the traditional compositional set.

Saraswati is the presiding deity of knowledge, language, music, and learning in the Hindu tradition. She is invoked at the start of formal education, at musical milestones, and during observances such as Saraswati Puja, Vidyarambham, and Navaratri. The veena she holds is not merely an instrument but a symbol of disciplined creative practice.

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc, valued for its density, warm color, and resistance to corrosion. It has been the standard material for devotional metalwork in India for centuries, owing to its workability and long-term stability.

The polished finish gives this piece a burnished, moderately reflective surface that catches light across the raised detailing. Because each idol is individually handcrafted, minor variation in tone, surface texture, and fine detail is inherent to the process and distinguishes one piece from another.

This idol is suited for a study table, music room, home altar, classroom, or office desk, and serves as a considered gift for Vidyarambham, arangetram, or the start of an academic year.

How We Pack It

Every idol is individually wrapped in soft cloth and nestled in foam casing inside a double-walled corrugated box. We have shipped to 25+ countries without a single breakage complaint.

Orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days. Domestic delivery takes 5-7 days. International shipping takes 10-15 working days via tracked courier.

How to Care For It

Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, acidic solutions, or abrasive pads. For occasional deep cleaning, use warm water and mild soap — dry immediately after.

Brass and Panchaloha naturally develop patina over time. If you prefer the original finish, apply a thin coat of coconut oil monthly.
