Invite abundance, peace, and good fortune with this 3-inch Lakshmi seated on a blooming lotus. Cast in solid brass with super-fine detailing, the idol features a delicate halo, ornate jewelry, and crisp drapery. Her upper hands hold lotuses, while her lower hands bless in abhaya and varada mudras—signs of protection and prosperity. Compact yet striking, it’s perfect for home altars, office desks, and shop cash counters. A thoughtful gift for Varalakshmi Vratham, Diwali, weddings, and housewarmings. Note: At Cosmic Studio, every sculpture is individually handcrafted, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike. About This Piece

3″ Lotus Lakshmi | Super-Fine Handcrafted Brass

This 3-inch Goddess Lakshmi idol, measuring 7cm x 5cm x 5cm and weighing 100 grams, is cast in superfine brass and depicts the deity seated in full bloom on an open lotus throne. The piece carries a polished finish that brings out the contrast between the darkened recesses and the warm metallic highlights across the raised surfaces.

The form has been shaped through traditional lost-wax casting, a process that demands precision at every stage — from the initial wax model to the final hand-finishing that defines the crisp edges of each ornament and fold. The detailing across this piece is exceptional for its scale: a tiered, petal-shaped halo crowns the figure, layered jewelry covers the neck and chest, and the drapery falls in defined pleats across the seated posture. Each of these elements requires deliberate tool work after casting to achieve the clarity visible here. The iconographic form follows classical conventions — four-armed, seated in lalitasana on a fully opened lotus, with the upper hands holding lotus buds and the lower hands positioned in abhaya mudra and varada mudra, gestures of protection and the granting of boons.

Lakshmi is venerated in Hindu tradition as the goddess of wealth, abundance, and auspiciousness. Her association with the lotus — a flower that rises from water without being touched by it — reflects the spiritual ideal of grace and purity amid the material world. Her mudras are not merely decorative; they carry specific devotional meaning that has remained consistent across centuries of sculptural tradition.

Brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, has been the dominant material in Indian devotional metalwork for centuries. It holds fine detail well, develops a stable patina over time, and carries a density that gives even small pieces a quality of substance and permanence.

The polished finish on this idol creates a two-tone visual effect — brighter on the lotus petals and jewelry, deeper in the recessed areas — that emphasizes the sculptural depth. As a handcrafted piece, minor variations in surface tone and texture are inherent and expected. This idol suits a home puja room, a personal altar, a desk, or a shop counter, and is a considered gift for Diwali, Varalakshmi Vratham, weddings, or housewarmings.

How We Pack It

Every idol is individually wrapped in soft cloth and nestled in foam casing inside a double-walled corrugated box. We have shipped to 25+ countries without a single breakage complaint.

Orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days. Domestic delivery takes 5-7 days. International shipping takes 10-15 working days via tracked courier.

How to Care For It

Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, acidic solutions, or abrasive pads. For occasional deep cleaning, use warm water and mild soap — dry immediately after.

Brass and Panchaloha naturally develop patina over time. If you prefer the original finish, apply a thin coat of coconut oil monthly.
