Kubera is depicted seated in a cross-legged posture on a tiered, lotus-carved pedestal, his right hand raised in abhaya mudra and his left cradling the nakula, the mongoose traditionally associated with the pouring forth of gems and wealth. The crown is tall and ornately detailed, the neck layered with beaded necklaces, and the torso rendered with the characteristic fullness that iconographic tradition prescribes for Kubera as the lord of abundance.

The piece is produced using a fine casting process in which molten brass is poured into a detailed mold and then finished by hand.
