Bring the sacred presence of Lord Shiva into your space with this 3-inch Panchaloha Shiva Lingam with Yoni base. A timeless symbol of pure consciousness and transformation, it is cast in the traditional South Indian Panchaloha alloy, the revered blend of five metals known for its spiritual resonance and longevity. Each piece is handcrafted by artisans who keep Vedic metal craft alive. The smooth lingam sits on a finely detailed peetham with a graceful spout. Subtle tripundra lines are etched on the lingam, and the rim carries delicate patterns that add depth without losing the classic form. The compact size makes it easy to place while still feeling substantial and devotional. Perfect for home puja rooms, meditation corners, office desks, spiritual gifting, or travel altars. If you’re setting up a sacred nook or blessing a loved one, this Shiva Lingam invites calm, clarity, and protective energy wherever it rests. Note: At Cosmic Studio, every sculpture is individually handcrafted, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike. Minor variations in color, texture, and detailing are a natural result of the artisanal process and are considered marks of authenticity. These unique characteristics, along with potential differences in lighting and screen displays, may cause the product to appear slightly different from the images shown.

About This Piece

3″ Divine Shiva Lingam | Handcrafted Panchaloha

This 3-inch Shiva Lingam with Yoni base is handcrafted in Panchaloha, the traditional South Indian alloy composed of five metals, and measures 7cm in height, 7cm in width, and 5cm in depth, weighing 320 grams.

The form follows a well-established iconographic structure rooted in Vedic metal casting tradition. The lingam rises from a circular peetham that sits on a tiered, octagonal base, each layer carrying fine rope-pattern borders and relief detailing worked by hand into the metal before casting and finishing. The peetham features a gracefully extended spout, faithful to the classical form used in ritual worship settings. Three horizontal tripundra lines are etched near the crown of the lingam, an iconographic detail that marks this as a form of Shiva specifically. These elements are not decorative choices but prescribed forms passed down through canonical craft traditions.

The Shiva Lingam is among the oldest and most significant forms in Hindu devotional practice. It represents Shiva in his formless, absolute aspect — pure consciousness beyond attribute or limit. The Yoni base from which the lingam rises represents Shakti, the generative force, and together the combined form holds the philosophical understanding of creation, dissolution, and the unity underlying both. This is not a decorative abstraction but a precise theological statement rendered in metal.

Panchaloha is a sacred alloy used in South Indian temple sculpture for centuries, traditionally composed of copper, zinc, tin, lead, and gold in defined proportions. It is prized for its density, its warm amber tone that deepens with age, and its suitability for devotional use in both ritual and domestic settings.

The piece carries a polished finish, visible in the warm, burnished golden tone across the lingam and base, with the surface catching light in a way that reveals the hand-worked texture beneath. As with all handcrafted Panchaloha work, minor variation in tone and surface detail from piece to piece is inherent to the process.

At 320 grams, this Lingam has genuine weight and presence, making it well-suited for a home puja room, a personal meditation altar, or as a considered gift for someone establishing a devotional space.

How to Care For It

Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, acidic solutions, or abrasive pads. For occasional deep cleaning, use warm water and mild soap — dry immediately after.

Brass and Panchaloha naturally develop patina over time. If you prefer the original finish, apply a thin coat of coconut oil monthly.
