The form follows a well-established iconographic structure rooted in Vedic metal casting tradition. The lingam rises from a circular peetham that sits on a tiered, octagonal base, each layer carrying fine rope-pattern borders and relief detailing worked by hand into the metal before casting and finishing. The peetham features a gracefully extended spout, faithful to the classical form used in ritual worship settings. Three horizontal tripundra lines are etched near the crown of the lingam, an iconographic detail that marks this as a form of Shiva specifically.
