Bring home the blessings of knowledge, music, and clarity with this 3.5-inch Panchaloha Saraswathi idol. Handcrafted in the traditional South Indian five-metal alloy, it carries auspicious energy and long-lasting strength. Skilled artisans have shaped every detail—from the serene face and ornate crown to the delicate jewelry—so it feels refined yet devotional. The posture is calm and focused, making it a beautiful addition to study tables, music rooms, puja shelves, or office desks. Ideal for gifting to students, musicians, and teachers, and perfect for occasions like Vidyarambham and Saraswathi Puja. Place it in your sacred corner to invite learning, creativity, and steady concentration every day. Note: At Cosmic Studio, every sculpture is individually handcrafted, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike. Minor variations in color, texture, and detailing are a natural result of the artisanal process and are considered marks of authenticity. These unique characteristics, along with potential differences in lighting and screen displays, may cause the product to appear slightly different from the images shown.

About This Piece

3″ Divine Saraswathi Idol with Veena | Handcrafted Panchaloha

This 3.5-inch Saraswathi idol is handcrafted in Panchaloha, the traditional South Indian five-metal alloy, and depicts the goddess seated in a composed cross-legged posture on a tiered circular pedestal, holding the veena across her lap with both hands engaged in playing.

The figure has been cast and hand-finished with close attention to iconographic detail. The face carries a calm, slightly smiling expression with clearly defined features. The crown is tall and ornate, built in layered tiers in keeping with classical South Indian temple iconography. The ornamentation across the chest, arms, and ears is finely worked, and the overall form — from the curled fingers on the veena strings to the drape of the lower garment — reflects the kind of considered craftsmanship that comes from working within a long devotional tradition. Four arms extend from the figure, with the front pair engaged with the instrument and the rear arms positioned in the posture prescribed by the iconographic canon for this form of Saraswathi.

Saraswathi is the presiding deity of knowledge, learning, language, and music in the Hindu tradition. Her seated posture with the veena is among the most established forms, representing the harmony between intellectual discipline and creative expression. She is invoked at the start of education, before performance, and during occasions such as Vidyarambham and Saraswathi Puja.

Panchaloha — an alloy of gold, silver, copper, iron, and zinc or lead in traditionally prescribed proportions — has been used in South Indian temple sculpture for centuries. It is valued for its density, its receptivity to fine surface work, and its durability over time. The alloy carries ritual significance in addition to its material properties.

This piece carries a polished finish, which brings out the warm, burnished tone visible across the surface. As with all handcrafted work, minor variation in surface texture, tone, and detailing is natural and expected between individual pieces.

At 250 grams and 3.5 inches in height, this idol is well suited to a puja shelf, study table, music room, or as a considered gift for students, musicians, and teachers.

How We Pack It

Every idol is individually wrapped in soft cloth and nestled in foam casing inside a double-walled corrugated box. We have shipped to 25+ countries without a single breakage complaint.

Orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days. Domestic delivery takes 5-7 days. International shipping takes 10-15 working days via tracked courier.

How to Care For It

Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, acidic solutions, or abrasive pads. For occasional deep cleaning, use warm water and mild soap — dry immediately after.

Brass and Panchaloha naturally develop patina over time. If you prefer the original finish, apply a thin coat of coconut oil monthly.
