This 12-inch Raja Alangara Murugan idol depicts Lord Murugan in a composed standing posture, cast in solid brass and finished in a rich antique brown. The sculpture measures 12 inches in height, 4 inches in width, and 4 inches in depth, and weighs 3 kilograms — dimensions that give it a substantial, grounded presence. It follows the iconographic tradition of Palani Murugan, one of the most revered forms of the deity in South Indian devotional practice.

The figure has been shaped through a traditional casting process that demands considerable skill in both the initial form and the finishing. The surface carries fine incised detailing across the crown, chest ornaments, waistband, and lower garments — work that is done by hand and reflects close familiarity with classical temple iconography.
