This special form is called Aadi Antha Prabhu—one half is Ganesha, the other half is Hanuman. Hindus pray to Ganesha at the start of anything new, as he is the remover of obstacles—hence “aadi” (first). Hanuman, considered an avatar of Lord Shiva, is believed to remain even after creation dissolves—hence “anta” (end). Together, Aadi + Anta becomes Aadyanta Prabhu, a blessing from beginning to end. Handcrafted in Brass, this 12.5″ sculpture shows Ganesha’s trunk and body, while the deity’s left hand holds Hanuman’s mace (gada)—a beautiful union of wisdom and strength. Temple-style details, a stable lotus pedestal, and a warm antique finish make it perfect for puja rooms, living spaces, or office entryways. Why you’ll love it Powerful composite deity: wisdom + courage, start to finish Statement size (12.5″) with fine temple detailing Note: At Cosmic Studio, every sculpture is individually handcrafted, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike. Minor variations in color, texture, and detailing are a natural result of the artisanal process and are considered marks of authenticity. These unique characteristics, along with potential differences in lighting and screen displays, may cause the product to appear slightly different from the images shown.

About This Piece

12″ Aadi Antha Prabhu (Half Ganesha - Half Hanuman) | Handcrafted Brass | Antique Brown

This 12.5-inch handcrafted brass sculpture depicts Aadi Antha Prabhu — a composite form that unites Ganesha and Hanuman within a single standing figure, measuring 12.5 inches in height, 5.5 inches in width, and 4.5 inches in depth, and weighing 7 kilograms.

The figure is cast using traditional brass casting methods and finished by hand. The sculpture stands upright in an active, slightly dynamic posture on a tiered lotus pedestal, which itself carries fine engraved detailing along its base and rim. The four arms carry attributes drawn from both deities — one hand holds what appears to be a lidded vessel or modak offering, while another carries the gada, the mace associated with Hanuman. The body surface is covered in intricate surface work: layered jewelry, an ornamental dhoti with carved foldwork, and detailed crown ornamentation above the characteristic elephant head of Ganesha. The articulation of each element — trunk, ears, armlets, and waistband — reflects disciplined craft and close familiarity with temple iconographic tradition.

The theological concept behind this form is specific and meaningful. In Hindu practice, Ganesha is invoked at the beginning of every significant undertaking — "Aadi" meaning first. Hanuman, understood as an avatar of Shiva, is believed to endure beyond the cycle of creation — "Antha" meaning end. Together, the form is known as Aadyanta Prabhu, representing an unbroken blessing across the full span of any endeavor, from inception to completion.

Brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, has been used in Indian devotional objects for centuries. It offers structural density suitable for large-format sculpture, a warm tonal quality that deepens with age, and long-term dimensional stability that makes it appropriate for both daily puja use and permanent display.

The antique brown finish applied to this piece gives the surface a layered, aged appearance — darker in the recessed areas and warmer across the raised detailing — closely visible in the image. Because each piece is cast and finished individually, minor variation in surface tone, texture, and detailing is inherent to the process.

At 12.5 inches, this sculpture is appropriately scaled for a puja room altar, a home entryway, an office threshold, or a serious collector's display of classical Indian iconography.

How to Care For It

Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, acidic solutions, or abrasive pads. For occasional deep cleaning, use warm water and mild soap — dry immediately after.

Brass and Panchaloha naturally develop patina over time. If you prefer the original finish, apply a thin coat of coconut oil monthly.
