About This Piece

10″ Divine Radha Krishna Under Tree | Handcrafted Brass | Green Stone Finish

This 10-inch handcrafted brass sculpture depicts Radha and Krishna standing together beneath a spreading tree, with two peacocks perched on its upper branches. The piece measures 10 inches in height, 8 inches in width, and 5 inches in depth, and weighs 1,900 grams — a substantial, well-proportioned work that holds its presence on a surface without being imposing.

The sculpture is cast using traditional brass-working methods, with surface detailing applied by hand. Both figures stand on an ornate tiered base with engraved border patterns, dressed in finely worked garments and jewellery — layered necklaces, armlets, and elaborate crowns are clearly rendered across both forms. Krishna holds a dholak-style drum, and Radha carries a small vessel, each posture relaxed and turned slightly toward the other. The tree rises symmetrically above them, its branches extending outward with the peacocks placed at the crown — a composition that reflects a well-established iconographic convention in Vaishnava devotional art.

Radha and Krishna together represent the highest expression of devotion in the Vaishnava tradition — Radha as the embodiment of pure bhakti, and Krishna as the divine beloved. Their depiction beneath a tree with peacocks draws on the pastoral imagery of Vrindavan, a setting that carries centuries of theological and poetic significance in Indian spiritual life.

Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc with a natural density and warmth that has made it the preferred material for Indian devotional objects across centuries. It holds fine detail well, resists corrosion, and develops character over time with regular care.

This piece carries a green stone finish — a hand-applied patina treatment that gives the surface an aged, mineral quality, with darker tones settling into the carved recesses and lighter tones catching on the raised details. As with all handcrafted work, no two pieces are identical; minor variation in tone, texture, and surface depth is inherent to the process.

This sculpture is well suited to a home puja room, a dedicated altar space, or as a considered gift for a houswarming, wedding, or religious occasion.

Orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days. Domestic delivery takes 5-7 days. International shipping takes 10-15 working days via tracked courier.

How to Care For It

Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, acidic solutions, or abrasive pads. For occasional deep cleaning, use warm water and mild soap — dry immediately after.

Brass and Panchaloha naturally develop patina over time. If you prefer the original finish, apply a thin coat of coconut oil monthly.
