Invoke the powerful synergy of Shiva’s cosmic dance and Nandi’s devoted presence with this special Panchaloha Duo: Lord Nataraja (6-inch) — Captures the dynamic cosmic dance (Tandava), symbolizing creation, preservation, and dissolution. Temple Nandi (handcrafted Panchaloha) — The faithful mount and gatekeeper who always faces Shiva, embodying devotion, strength, and purity. Handcrafted by skilled artisans using the sacred five-metal alloy (Panchaloha), each statue features exquisite details: fluid movement on Nataraja, poised alertness in Nandi, and classic temple motifs. Place them together in your pooja room, meditation corner, or yogashala. As Nandi faces Shiva, it forms a visual and spiritual dialogue — strength meeting grace, devotion meeting transcendence. Note: At Cosmic Studio, every sculpture is individually handcrafted, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike. Minor variations in color, texture, and detailing are a natural result of the artisanal process and are considered marks of authenticity. These unique characteristics, along with potential differences in lighting and screen displays, may cause the product to appear slightly different from the images shown.

About This Piece

Nataraja & Nandi – Divine Companions | Divine Combo Offer

This combo brings together a 6-inch Nataraja and a 2-inch Temple Nandi, both cast in Panchaloha — the sacred South Indian five-metal alloy traditionally used in temple icon-making — and finished with a hand polish that draws out the metal's characteristic warm, darkened bronze tone.

The Nataraja is cast in the classical Ananda Tandava pose: the right foot planted on the figure of Apasmara, the left leg raised and swept outward, four arms extended in precise iconographic arrangement with one hand raised in Abhaya mudra and the damaru held aloft. The figure is encircled by a full ring of flames, each tongue of fire individually rendered, and the crown rises with the spread of matted locks. This level of surface articulation — the layering of ornaments, the musculature of the torso, the controlled tension of the raised limbs — requires skilled wax carving before casting, and careful hand-finishing after. The Nandi is rendered in the seated, alert posture of the temple gatekeeper: forelegs folded, head upright, the body compact and grounded, with visible detail in the facial features and the ceremonial markings on the body.

In Shaivite tradition, Nataraja represents Shiva as the lord of cosmic movement — the Tandava encoding creation, preservation, and dissolution within a single arrested gesture. Nandi, as Shiva's vahana and eternal devotee, is always oriented toward him, embodying surrender, strength, and the threshold between the devotee and the divine. Together, they form a complete devotional pairing with deep roots in South Indian temple culture.

Panchaloha is an alloy composed of gold, silver, copper, zinc, and iron in proportions traditionally prescribed in the Agama Shastra. It has been used in consecrated temple icons for over a millennium, valued for its density, workability, and the belief that the combination of metals carries ritual potency.

The polished finish on both pieces shows a warm, antiqued bronze tone with variation in depth across carved surfaces. As with all handcrafted Panchaloha work, minor differences in surface texture, color distribution, and fine detail between pieces are inherent to the process and reflect authentic hand craftsmanship.

This pair is suited for a puja room, a dedicated meditation or yoga space, or as a considered gift for a serious collector of traditional Indian devotional sculpture.

How We Pack It

Every idol is individually wrapped in soft cloth and nestled in foam casing inside a double-walled corrugated box. We have shipped to 25+ countries without a single breakage complaint.

Orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days. Domestic delivery takes 5-7 days. International shipping takes 10-15 working days via tracked courier.

How to Care For It

Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, acidic solutions, or abrasive pads. For occasional deep cleaning, use warm water and mild soap — dry immediately after.

Brass and Panchaloha naturally develop patina over time. If you prefer the original finish, apply a thin coat of coconut oil monthly.
