This 7-inch Nandhi sculpture, measuring 7″H × 8.5″W × 6″D and weighing 3,300 grams, is cast in solid brass and finished in antique brown. The bull is rendered in a resting posture — forelegs tucked beneath the body, head held upright with a calm, alert expression — a form that closely follows the classical iconographic tradition seen in temple sanctuaries across India.
The craftsmanship on this piece is concentrated in its surface ornamentation. The neck and chest carry layered necklaces and decorative garlands rendered in fine relief, and the body features intricate floral and foliate patterns across the shoulder and back.
