Panchaloha is a mixture of Copper, Zinc, Tin, Gold & Silver.

The figure is rendered in the Raja Alangara form — Murugan as the sovereign lord, adorned in full royal regalia. The casting captures a tall, upright posture with composed weight and natural proportion. In his left hand he holds the Sengol, the divine scepter of authority, while his right hand rests at his hip in a stance that conveys both ease and command. The crown is elaborate, rising in layered tiers with fine surface detailing. Across the chest, multiple strands of jewelry are rendered with care, and the lower garments show folded drapery with textured carving along the hem. The facial expression is calm and resolved — eyes forward, features settled. The figure stands on a tiered temple-style lotus base with relief work along its sides, giving the piece a grounded, architecturally coherent form. This level of surface detail in a compact 6-inch piece requires skilled hand-chasing after casting to preserve the clarity of each ornamental element.

Lord Murugan is among the most venerated deities in the South Indian tradition, revered as the god of war, wisdom, and spiritual victory. The Raja Alangara iconography specifically honors his aspect as a cosmic ruler — holding the Sengol as a symbol of righteous authority and moral order.
