Invite auspicious beginnings and calm wisdom with this 3-inch Lotus Ganesha, cast in solid brass with super-fine detailing. Seated on a blooming lotus, Ganesha’s four hands hold his classic symbols—ankusha (goad), pasha (noose), a sweet modak, and a blessing hand—while the ornate crown, halo, jewelry, and drapery show crisp, temple-style craftsmanship. Compact yet striking, it’s perfect for home altars, desks, and gift-giving for housewarmings, Ganesh Chaturthi, and new ventures. Note: At Cosmic Studio, every sculpture is individually handcrafted, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike. Minor variations in color, texture, and detailing are a natural result of the artisanal process and are considered marks of authenticity. These unique characteristics, along with potential differences in lighting and screen displays, may cause the product to appear slightly different from the images shown.

About This Piece

3″ Lotus Ganesha | Super-Fine Handcrafted Brass

This is a 3-inch seated Ganesha cast in superfine brass, measuring 7cm in height and 5cm across, weighing 100 grams. The figure is positioned on a fully bloomed lotus base, rendered with layered petals that are cleanly defined and proportionate to the figure above.

The casting work on this piece is notably fine for its scale. The crown rises in a tiered, floral form with a pronounced halo behind the head, both carrying the kind of surface articulation that typically demands careful hand-finishing after the initial cast is removed. The four arms are positioned symmetrically, each holding one of Ganesha's classical attributes — the ankusha, the pasha, a modak, and the open abhaya hand extended in blessing. The chest and torso carry layered jewelry, and the drapery across the lower body shows distinct folds. At 3 inches, achieving this level of iconographic completeness requires both precise mold work and skilled hand detailing at the finishing stage.

Ganesha holds a singular position in Indian devotional life as Vighnaharta — the remover of obstacles — and is traditionally invoked before any significant beginning, whether a journey, a business venture, a ceremony, or a new home. The lotus seat places him in the company of the highest divine forms, symbolizing purity and the emergence of wisdom from the material world.

Brass, an alloy of copper and zinc, has been used in Indian ritual and decorative metalwork for centuries. It is valued for its weight, its warm tone, and its resistance to corrosion over time. At 100 grams, this piece carries a satisfying density for its size, indicating solid casting rather than hollow or lightweight construction.

The finish is a polished silver-toned treatment, visible in the image as a cool, oxidized patina that deepens in the recessed areas of the crown and jewelry, bringing the surface detail into sharper relief. As with all handcrafted brass work, minor variation in tone, texture, and detailing from piece to piece is inherent to the process and reflects its hand-finished nature.

This piece is suited for a home puja room, a personal desk altar, or as a considered gift for housewarmings, Ganesh Chaturthi, or new ventures.

How We Pack It

Every idol is individually wrapped in soft cloth and nestled in foam casing inside a double-walled corrugated box. We have shipped to 25+ countries without a single breakage complaint.

Orders are dispatched within 2-3 working days. Domestic delivery takes 5-7 days. International shipping takes 10-15 working days via tracked courier.

How to Care For It

Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, acidic solutions, or abrasive pads. For occasional deep cleaning, use warm water and mild soap — dry immediately after.

Brass and Panchaloha naturally develop patina over time. If you prefer the original finish, apply a thin coat of coconut oil monthly.
