Invite the paired blessings of protection and prosperity with this 3-inch Lakshmi Narayanan idol. Handcrafted in the traditional South Indian Panchaloha alloy (copper, zinc, tin, gold, and silver), it carries sacred resonance and lasting strength. Lord Narayana is shown seated in lalitasana, holding the shankha and chakra, with his blessing hand raised. Goddess Lakshmi rests gracefully at his side, symbolising abundance and grace. The crowns, ornaments, and lotus-style pedestal are finely detailed, giving this compact piece a refined, devotional presence. Perfect for home puja shelves, office desks, and travel altars, and a thoughtful gift for housewarmings, weddings, Vaikunta Ekadashi, or Diwali. Place it in your sacred corner to invite harmony, wealth, and steady protection every day. Note: At Cosmic Studio, every sculpture is individually handcrafted, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike. Minor variations in color, texture, and detailing are a natural result of the artisanal process and are considered marks of authenticity. These unique characteristics, along with potential differences in lighting and screen displays, may cause the product to appear slightly different from the images shown.

About This Piece

3″ Lakshmi Narayanan Idol | Handcrafted Panchaloha

This 3-inch Lakshmi Narayanan idol is handcrafted in Panchaloha, the traditional South Indian alloy composed of copper, zinc, tin, gold, and silver, measuring 7cm in height, 5cm in width, and 4cm in depth, with a finished weight of 250 grams.

The figure is cast using time-honored lost-wax techniques, a method that demands precision at every stage — from the initial wax model to the final metal pour and surface finishing. Lord Narayana is depicted seated in lalitasana, his right hand raised in abhaya mudra, his upper hands holding the shankha and chakra. Goddess Lakshmi is seated at his side, her form rendered with careful attention to proportion and adornment. The crowns on both figures are tiered and structured, consistent with classical South Indian iconographic convention. The lotus-style pedestal and the layered ornamentation across the chest and shoulders are legible even at this compact scale, which reflects the level of finish work applied after casting.

Lakshmi Narayanan as a paired form represents the union of preservation and abundance — Narayana as the sustaining force of the cosmos, and Lakshmi as the embodiment of prosperity, grace, and material and spiritual wealth. In South Indian devotional practice, this form is venerated in both temple and domestic worship.

Panchaloha has been the preferred alloy for sacred sculpture in South Indian temple tradition for over a millennium. The inclusion of five metals is itself considered auspicious, and the alloy's density and workability allow for fine surface detailing that holds well over time.

This piece carries a polished finish, which brings out the warm, deep-gold tone characteristic of Panchaloha. As visible in the image, the surface has a rich, slightly varied luster across the raised details and recessed areas. Because each idol is individually handcrafted, minor differences in surface texture, tone, and fine detailing are natural and expected.

This idol is suited for a home puja shelf, personal altar, or office space, and serves as a considered gift for housewarmings, weddings, Vaikunta Ekadashi, or Diwali.

How to Care For It

Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, acidic solutions, or abrasive pads. For occasional deep cleaning, use warm water and mild soap — dry immediately after.

Brass and Panchaloha naturally develop patina over time. If you prefer the original finish, apply a thin coat of coconut oil monthly.
