3″ Lakshmi Hayagriva Idol | Handcrafted Panchaloha

Panchaloha is a mixture of Copper, Zinc, Tin, Gold & Silver.

The idol depicts Hayagriva — Lord Vishnu in his horse-headed form — seated in a composed posture on a stepped pedestal, with four arms carrying his characteristic attributes. One hand is raised in abhaya mudra, offering protection, while the others hold ritual objects consistent with the iconographic canon. Goddess Lakshmi is shown seated to his left, smaller in scale but clearly rendered, her form integrated into the composition rather than treated as a secondary element. The crown above Hayagriva's head is cast with a pronounced multi-tiered structure, and the surface detailing across the chest ornaments, armlets, and base platform is crisp and well-resolved for a piece of this size. The casting has been finished with a high polish that gives the alloy its characteristic warm copper-gold sheen seen clearly in the image.

In Indian tradition, Hayagriva is the deity of knowledge, speech, and learning — the form Vishnu took to restore the Vedas.
