Invite fearless protection and graceful prosperity with this 2.5-inch Lakshmi Narasimar idol. Handcrafted in the traditional South Indian Panchaloha alloy (five sacred metals), it carries auspicious energy and a timeless, durable finish. Lord Narasimar is shown seated in lalitasana, holding the shankha and chakra, with his right hand in abhaya mudra. Goddess Lakshmi rests at his side, symbolising calm, abundance, and balance. The crowns, ornaments, and lotus-style pedestal are finely detailed, giving this compact piece a strong devotional presence. Perfect for home puja shelves, study or work desks, and travel altars. A thoughtful gift for Narasimha Jayanti, housewarmings, and weddings. Place it in your sacred corner to invite courage, protection, and steady prosperity. Note: At Cosmic Studio, every sculpture is individually handcrafted, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike. Minor variations in color, texture, and detailing are a natural result of the artisanal process and are considered marks of authenticity. These unique characteristics, along with potential differences in lighting and screen displays, may cause the product to appear slightly different from the images shown.

About This Piece

2.5″ Lakshmi Narasimar Idol | Handcrafted Panchaloha

This 2.5-inch Lakshmi Narasimha idol is handcrafted in Panchaloha, the traditional South Indian five-metal alloy, and measures 7cm in height, 5cm in width, and 4cm in depth, weighing 230 grams.

The form is cast and finished by hand, following the iconographic conventions established in South Indian temple sculpture. Lord Narasimha is depicted seated in lalitasana on a lotus-style pedestal, his lion face rendered with pronounced features — wide eyes, a broad nose, and a powerful set jaw that conveys both ferocity and composure. His four arms are clearly articulated: the upper right hand holds the chakra, the upper left holds the shankha, while the lower right hand is raised in abhaya mudra. The crown, chest ornaments, and armlets are worked with deliberate detail given the compact scale. Goddess Lakshmi is seated to his left, smaller in scale but distinctly formed, with her own crown and ornamentation clearly visible. The pedestal carries layered petal detailing consistent with traditional lotus base forms across South Indian iconography.

Narasimha, the fourth avatar of Vishnu, represents the principle of divine protection that arises beyond the limits of ordinary form. His combined aspect with Lakshmi — Lakshmi Narasimha — balances his fierce protective power with the goddess's association with steadiness, grace, and material well-being. This combined form is widely worshipped in South Indian Vaishnava tradition as a granter of fearlessness and sustained prosperity.

Panchaloha is an alloy composed of five metals — gold, silver, copper, zinc, and iron — used exclusively in South Indian devotional casting for centuries. The alloy is valued for its density, structural integrity, and the warm reddish-brown tone it develops through polishing, which is clearly visible in this piece.

This idol carries a polished finish that brings out the depth of the metal's surface. As with all handcrafted work, minor variation in tone, texture, and surface detailing from piece to piece is inherent to the process.

Suited for a home puja shelf, personal altar, study desk, or as a considered gift for housewarmings, Narasimha Jayanti, or weddings.

How to Care For It

Wipe regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid chemical cleaners, acidic solutions, or abrasive pads. For occasional deep cleaning, use warm water and mild soap — dry immediately after.

Brass and Panchaloha naturally develop patina over time. If you prefer the original finish, apply a thin coat of coconut oil monthly.
