This is a pair of handcrafted wooden wall brackets, each measuring 11.5 inches in height and 5.5 inches in width, carved from Vaagai wood and finished in an antique colour treatment that emphasises the depth of each carved surface.

Each bracket is shaped as a peacock set within a recessed rectangular frame with a ridged cornice at the top. The birds are carved in a downward-facing posture, with the head bowed and the beak tucked toward the chest, giving the form a composed, contained quality. The feathers of the tail fan outward and downward, filling the lower half of the bracket with layered, deeply incised plumage rendered in green, yellow, and ochre tones. The eye markings on each feather are individually carved and painted, showing the level of hand detailing involved. The body of each peacock is painted in a muted teal-blue, while the breast area carries warm terracotta tones. A small brass bell is fitted at the base of each bracket, a traditional finishing detail that adds both visual and auditory character.
